Ted Barrows

Ted Barrows has had a long career of public service. He was an assistant public defender, assistant attorney general for the State of Ohio and assistant prosecuting attorney who also served 18 years on the bench as an Ohio Municipal Court Judge, before retiring in 2022. Barrows has also contributed to his community beyond public service, through a long and distinguished association with the Kiwanis Club.  In addition to taking on several leadership roles with Kiwanis, he’s invested in the next generation of leaders through service as Kiwanis advisor to two Key Clubs at high schools near his Hilliard home. He joined the Ohio Citizen Action board because “I have been a contributor to OCA for some time and always totally agreed with the various campaigns”. His attitude towards activism is colored by the famous Ghandi quote to “be the change you wish to see in the world”. In his spare time, Ted enjoys reading, volunteering in his community and is working to establish a pollinator garden.
